Not sure who’s getting the workout here… but teamwork makes the Huskies go faster 🐾
When Huskies support Huskies, everybody wins… and maybe breaks a sweat 😄

Working on multiplying by foundational numbers (2,5,10) will help our students when they move to multiplying by (3,4,6,7,8,9). How much does it cost per bag? Word of the year in LKDSB math classrooms: PER! Try to use it with your children to support multiplicative reasoning! P.S. Don't let the question trick you... Candy grams are really only $2 per bag!

Proof that learning can involve candy, competition, and cartoon-approved outfits. Happy 100th day of school!

A few more characters & favourite books from today!

Percy Jackson and 11 are at Hanna today!

It’s DEAR Day (drop everything and read) and Dress as Your Favourite Book Character Day!
These brothers chose Garfield—lover of naps, comfort, and taking it easy with a good book 📖😴
Sounds like the perfect reading day to us!

The Huskies learned about bullying from the police perspective today. Students who attended were given homework: tell your parents what you learned and teach your parents something from today. Our partnership with the Sarnia Police is appreciated and benefitting our students!

Our Ojibwe and French classes teamed up today for snowshoeing (la raquette)!

Due to inclement weather across the district, ALL Lambton Kent District School Board schools will be closed for Thursday, January 15, 2026. Please stay safe.

✨ What are your plans for 2026?

Here's to another year of learning!

The Huskies enjoyed one of our favourite events of the year today! The GLSS band played amazing. Even at the end of the day students were still singing, chocolate milk!

Gingerbread making!

Sting/Imperial Breakfast part 2!

The school was buzzing Tuesday morning with the Sting in the building. Thank you Imperial Oil for creating such a great commune building event for our students! Santa even showed up!

On Friday the students will be dancing into the winter break! See the poster for details.

Our first assembly of the week was full of festive cheer, carolling, and so much plaid—clearly the dress code of the day! ❤️🖤
A huge thank-you to our Builders Leadership Club for running such a fun and uplifting assembly that brought our school together in true holiday spirit. To make it even sweeter, every student enjoyed a special treat—a candy cane generously donated by the Seaway Kiwanis. 🍬
Smiles, music, plaid, and kindness… what a wonderful way to start the week at Hanna!

It was a busy day of shopping and wrapping for the huskies on Friday. A special thanks to the Sparkle Squad, school council & volunteers, and friends who donated gifts. There were many happy students!

It is going to be a great week!

With the support of our amazing local Kiwanis, these young leaders created candy grams for every student in the school. Nothing says “building leadership” quite like managing a mountain of candy and still remembering to spread joy!
Proud of their big hearts and growing leadership skills. 💛
