In a remarkable show of community spirit, Hillcrest successfully collected toys, financial donations, and non-perishable items for the "Christmas for Everyone" initiative. The drive resulted in an impressive collection of 1,180 food items, numerous toys, and over $800 in donations, all aimed at bringing holiday cheer to local families in need.
The school's Colour Houses added a creative twist to the canned food drive by using the collected items to build imaginative structures. These creations ranged from towering castles to modes of transportation, showcasing the students' creativity and teamwork. This fun and competitive element not only boosted participation but also highlighted the importance of community and collaboration.
Mme Hillier's class stood out by collecting the most items overall, earning them a well-deserved popcorn party. Their dedication and enthusiasm were truly inspiring, setting a high standard for the entire school.
The generosity and creativity displayed by our students and families are truly inspiring. These drives not only help those in need but also teach our students the importance of giving back.
As the holiday season approaches, Hillcrest continues to embody the spirit of giving and community, making a positive impact on the lives of many.
