Exciting things happening for our Eagles Family during March 💛💚🦅
Kathleen Brenders French Immersion FDK Educator initiated a Ramadan information day for McNaughton students and teachers. She reached out to the SWIS Worker Wedad Ateya and ELL Support teacher Megan Gare to help her facilitate the event. Wedad organized 12 generous community volunteers and 7 helpful student volunteers who together created an amazing, informative, interactive and visual event which all classes passed through over two full days. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with our school family 💛💚🦅

Talented members of our Bulletin Board Committee created a learning environment for our school community during Black History Month.
Ms. Clark students listened to "Sweet Clara and the Freedom Quilt" to learn more during Black History Month. They talked about the significance of the Underground Railroad, and Chatham-Kent’s important role in it. Discussion also occured about how songs and quilts could be used to help direct people toward freedom in the North, then we made our own classroom ‘Freedom Quilt’.
The Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Gary Girardi as our new Director of Education, effective May 1, 2025!
A dedicated educator with over 25 years of service, Gary has been a lifelong champion of student achievement, equity, and community collaboration. Having held various roles across the Board, including Superintendent of Education, his experience and commitment to creating inclusive, safe learning environments make him the perfect leader to guide the future of education in our region.
As Gary steps into this new role, he remains deeply committed to fostering a community where every student, staff member, and family feels valued and supported. With a passion for education and a belief in the power of public schools, he is excited to continue the Board's efforts in creating a thriving, innovative environment for all.

We're so #LKDSBProud of our Chatham All-Star Basketball Game participants! It was an exciting North VS South showdown in both the Boys and Girls divisions! 🙌
A huge thank you to our amazing community partner, the Chatham Optimist Club, for sponsoring this fantastic event. All Chatham City LKDSB Elementary Schools came together for an action-packed game, with guest coaches from JMSS and CKSS adding to the excitement.
