On Sunday, March 9th the Forest Kiwanis is hosting the Pancake Breakfast and Maple Syrup Festival at the Forest Legion. They're looking for volunteers to help at the event. 9) So where have all the Eagles landed? Are they going to the moon? Have they left the nest? We'd like to be able to send good vibes to Birthday Eagles, but so far the only song we're hearing is from the cricket choir. If you have a friend and we hope you do, and that friend has a birthday on the horizon, say in the next week, or two, or even next month, stop by the office and let them know. That's what friends are for!
10) Today is a special day for those who celebrate Easter. It's not time for chocolate eggs yet. Today is called Ash Wednesday which marks the beginning of Lent. From now until Easter, which isn't about the Bunny, Christians give up something as their own personal sacrifice. From our Muslin Students they are celebrating Ramadan this month and they too have a similar practice of fasting and sacrifice. For those of faith or otherwise this practice is meant to show determination, commitment and honour. Hope everyone enjoyed pancakes yesterday. (Mr. Tichenoff)
